This site contains instructional and other pertinent topical material. Every National Bank, State Member Bank and insured Nonmember Bank is required by the Federal Financial Institution Examination Council (FFIEC) to file consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (Call Report) as of the close of business on the last day of each calendar quarter, i.e. the report date. The specific reporting requirements depend upon the size of the bank and whether or not it has any foreign offices. Call Report instructions and forms can be obtained from the Call Report Instructions and Forms.
Every federally insured savings institution regulated by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) files a Thrift Financial Report (TFR) on a quarterly basis. These institutions are required to file a consolidated TFR as of the close of business on the last day of each calendar quarter, i.e. the report date. Thrift Financial Report instructions and forms can be obtained from the OTS' web site: http://www.ots.treas.gov.
Current quarter TFR data, that has completed the OTS review process, will become available on the third Friday after the end of the calendar quarter. Current and prior quarter TFR data will be posted weekly each Friday until the Friday after the close of the cycle (approximately 19 weeks after the end of the calendar quarter). The data for the current cycle is continually updated. The prior cycle’s data is updated until the close of the cycle. For example, if the current cycle is March 2008, the data posting begins Friday April 18, 2008. The March data continues to be posted as the current cycle until July 18, 2008, (third Friday after the new cycle, June 2008, opens). On July 18, 2008, June data is posted as the current cycle and March is posted as the prior cycle. The last posting for the March cycle is on August 15, 2008, (last Friday after the close of the prior cycle, March).
Please note - If you have questions about the financial data or any other information reported on the TFR Report, please contact the financial institution directly.
